Default Military personnel punished for posting ads seeking sex in Afghanistan

Another interesting diversion from the boredom of serving in a warzone:

Eleven military personnel and six civilian employees of the Department of Defense were punished for placing ads on commercial websites seeking sex while they were deployed to Afghanistan, the Marine Corps announced Saturday.
The 11 included seven Marines, two sailors, one soldier, and one Air Force individual, the Marines said. Most were enlisted but an unspecified number were officers.
    This jumped out at me...

The newspaper noted that military personnel are told not to place sex ads on the Internet but "warnings from commanders, standard guidance for any unit headed to the war zone, appear to have fallen on deaf ears in many cases."
I do not recall this order. Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of such an order?

    General Order 1A
    http://www.cemml.colostate.edu/cultu...02iraqenl.html
    Brief run down
"No Alcohol, no gambling, no pornographic/offensive material, no sexual activity"
It was enforced in Iraq when I was there. Ironically, I remember the med clinic having condums citing patient confidentiality.
However (from what I remember and maybe others might know more than me) this rule only applied to US Military and GS Civilians. So I think Contractors were exempt.

Do you really need to be ordered to not solicit sex? LOL.

It appears so. I once had a troop ask me why bestiality is covered in the UCMJ punitive articles. It was just last year I think that a Marine was arrested for that.

Ok, maybe an obvious answer to a stupid question but.....

Were these ads aimed at other deployed personnel?
