If I was allowed to go back in time about five or six years and change only one thing about our culture, it would be the use of the word "entitlement" in the pejorative. I mean, give troops a meal card... but don't call it "entitlement," because now they're insulted by it.

    eating food is an entitlement?
Considering the military doesnt pay you enough wages for food, but instead, gives you the "entitlement" known as basic allowance for subsistance, it is indeed an entitlement.

Because a 2Lt makes more than an E-2 and E-3 combined.
