Yes, I've driven for both right up until I deployed.

Which one is better? Results may vary, depending on where you live. Lyft takes less off the top, so you end up making more money PER FARE with them. However, in my area (i.e., the Hampton Roads area of Virginia), very few people actually use Lyft, so you get more fares with Uber. Furthermore, you need to net $50 with Lyft before you can cash out. With Uber, as soon as you have two weeks on the job, you can cash out whenever you want.

So which one is better? Depends on where you live.
"Well... Uber's going to "driverless" cars soon, and their research probably shows that they're a natural fit (when it comes to getting paid for doing nothing)."

I find it odd that Uber marketing focuses on black male drivers. Haven't quite figured out why.

This article gets into that a bit ... for better or worse.

Yeah, God forbid the app that they use makes it near impossible to racially profile passengers from whom the drivers get notification.

Fuck them for that. Guess we'll just have to look at Lyft then, huh?

Couple that with the uber drivers not being able to arm themselves and it's a recipe for disaster. And even though most cab drivers in our cities are non-white foreigners. Blacks still can't catch a ride!

Are you saying that you have to arm yourself when you get a black passenger?

Seems like a reasonable requirement to me.

I think a lot of customers would be put off if Uber drivers were smoking.
