So the CDSAR system is down again. Hopefully not for a two month long stint like last time, does anyone know if the Air Force intends to upgrade the database that this system runs on or are they just going to keep using the same 20+ year old servers?

I read an article about the last time it was down and the excuse was that it would take six months to code a new software layout for a new computer to run the program. Well that was a few years ago that it crashed hard (and so did the backup). This doesn't just affect the Air Force but the other DoD services that use the AU system (we use it for the Hazmat/Fire certifications in the Marine Corps at the very least).

The system is archaic and needs to be replaced.
