Ohio lawmakers to go after Cleveland indians

In the latest hit on the war against 'indian sounding teams', some ohio lawmakers are now going (again) after the cleveland indians, and chief Wahoo.

With all this (imo) stupidity, how long will it be before they start hitting the military up to change the name of Apache helos and Tomahawk missiles?

It's not the term Chief that is the issue...it is the Native American imagery used.

True...even though we all know that it's meant to be done with the utmost respect.

Yep...just like when 50 cent wore a Marine uniform...or Cee Lo Green wears a military medal...they are only trying to honor us.

That is true in the Navy, but in the Army WO-4 and WO-5 Warrant Officers are the only ones who get called "Chief", and that word is officially part of their title (Chief Warrant Officer).
