So the Pres is going to say that's it's un-American to do something that is perfectly legal according to American law. Nice!

I thought this was a tactic exclusive to the radical conservative GOP?

Well, I would not disagree that some of the tax loopholes are ridiculous, but they are the law.

The President is well aware that without the House the tax code will not change and the most recent items I have read (a week ago) are saying that the Senate has an 85% probability of shifting to the Republicans. This is an effort to concentrate frustration and energy in the Democratic base aimed at improving voter turnout in Nov -- which in a midterm is always low and is expected to be even lower (for Democrats) since the President cannot run again.

8 years ago, at this point in George W. Bush's administration, it started becoming clear that a (any) Republican had very little chance of victory in 2008 due to the declining favorability of President Bush. President Obama's polling is low, and on a downward glide path which complicates retaining Democratic control of the Senate. While issues like Benghazi, monitoring of press reporters & Fast and Furious seem to solely resonate with the GOP base, the IRS issue has been of concern for many moderates and Democrats (it is very reminiscent of Watergate, where abuse of government authority was directed at the left) -- and let's face it ... NOONE likes the IRS. While there is a lot of smoke so far and no real fire, many I have talked to are growing dissatisfied with the cooperation of the IRS and the general appearance that the issue presents. I don't know if the declining polls will impact the Democratic nominee the same way the GOP was impacted in 2008, but there is concern from my Democratic colleagues.

Obama doesnt even pay his full amount of Taxes. Unless he is talking about tax cheating strawmen, he uses every trick in the book to lower him tax liability as well. Not to mention he doesnt pay a dime on the "benefits" he has used to travel for his million dollar vacations. What a hypocrite.

Exactly. The rich hire the best lawyers they can to get out of paying "Their fair share" as Obama often calls it, so since its legal, why is it all of a sudden now wrong?
Also if its wrong to follow the law, and use these "Loop holes", to where Obama says you should lose citizenship, i would like to know why no one has proposed a law, saying those who leave the US to go overseas to fight for these terror organizations, shouldn't also lose their citizenship (assuming they had it in the first place)
