Medical staff at lackland threatened if they go to press..

Talk about the height of overreach here. Apparently 'civilian contracted security staff from a "Baptist church" are being allowed to threaten US Military medical staff treating the illegals being held ON their US Military facility, if they talk to the press about the conditions.
How in the heck is this legal in any way shape of form?
How is it that the dept of health and human services, can contract civilians to work on a DOD facility, and that those civilians can ORDER military personnel around?

Its an Obama world now. Whistle blowers are treated as traitors while trailors are treated like heroes.

Which flies in the face of "This will be the most transparent administration in history claims he made when he was running.

I don't know about this specific case, but I would imagine that on some type of MOU or something exists that designates that the HHS official is in charge and support is being provided by forces from DoD; I have seen this done before. They (civilians) are not really assuming command or command authority, but the on scene military commander had been directed to support the civilian in charge

Would disobeying a civilian carry the same repercussions as disobeying a military senior? Probably not, but if you are ordered by a military senior to do whatever the civilian authority directs ... then the military personnel may be able to be held accountable.

While not really sure about the circumstances at these camps, I don't think it is good for military personnel to walk right out of the facility and to a bay of reports and present their personal opinion, political views etc. to have it blasted around the country with the accompanying video of them in uniform either attacking or defending the situation -- eventually to be used by one political extreme or the other. If they give their opinion as a 'private citizen' (out of uniform etc.) that is a different thing altogether.

I may understand a MOU being signed, but not them having their own security (hired from a church group) nor them forcing those doctors etc, to be required to sign NDAs..
