    No, all the airforce says is that you look like Kate Moss in a uniform. The AF fitness test has nothing to do with actual fitness.

    I know this is an old post but since the thread got bumped I might as well comment.

    160 doesn't seem too bad (though I guess age could be an issue). When running with a heart monitor during PT, my heart rate was regularly over 200. I asked the doctor about it, as it seemed very high to me. He said that it shouldn't be an issue. Even when I was in the best shape I'd ever been in for PT purposes (scoring an 89 with a run time of 11:47) the rate was still the same. My resting is normally well over 90.

    Anyway, doctor basically said that there is no standard, even though the charts show max heart rate and all that stuff.
