"Bay Area resident TJ Khayatan and his friends were visiting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (https://www.sfmoma.org/), and decided to conduct a little experiment/prank. The 17-year-old placed a pair of glasses on the floor to see how the rest of the museum-goers would react to the new "exhibit.""

This made me laugh because I have seen a lot of ridiculous things in art museums that are "art." I think the National Art Museum in DC? My brother visited me and we went there. One exhibit was literally colored pencil scribbles on a wall. I did that when I was five. One exhibit was just big black painted squares.

I could definitely see people reacting to this as "art."

That's why I never got into "art." If you've ever been to a mom & pop coffee shop 20 years ago (before they were "cool," and Starbucks became a national chain), you'd have seen people spouting all sorts of unintelligible pseudo-philosophical bullshit, and idiots who were actually capitivated by it. To their credit, whatever was being said probably made more sense to them than it did to the person saying it. But still. Either "art" is bullshit, or the people who appreciate it are poseurs.
