From the Marine Corps Times:

'The Pentagon officially warned troops and defense civilians Friday that the all-too-familiar gridlock on Capitol Hill is threatening a government-wide shutdown next week that would offer no immediate mechanism for continuing military pay.'

I hope this is settled quickly.

I hope this is settled quickly. If this is settle quickly, the crazies won't get their TV time so folks like Cruz will insure that it is as painful to the US population as possible, for as long as possible.

The Republican party will pay the price but the loons will get donations from their base.

"Pay the price"? Maybe you missed it. But, after the last shutdown the republicans took control of the Senate and increased their majority in the house.

This is all fake drama anyway.

No one gives a shit about "the government shutdown" except the people that work for it and the media that loves telling us how the world's going to end, if Washington takes a week off

I love these "shutdowns" because they just serve to remind the public that 80% of the government bureaucracy is "non essential" make work, that we don't really need.
