Mjolnir,

I think it would be best if you didn't use those hand grenades that you 'borrowed' from your days in Recon. Just sayin'.

It's been sunny and 100+ degrees everyday in Las Vegas. Today, it's overcast. WTF?

Messing with your 'dry heat'.

We have the 4th to shoot off fireworks. The British have Guy Fawkes Day, a celebration of Mr. Fawkes having been caught before he could blow up the Parliament.

Ours is for our countries birthday and the Declaration of Independence, and the Brits have theirs for a foiled attempt to blow up Parliament.

I wonder if we would have another day of fireworks if someone tried to blow Congress up?

Oh, wait, that was tried back on 9/11, when the plane headed for the Capitol Building was taken down by some American passengers. Along with other attempts ...

I believe that we should have a day of honor, a national holiday, with everybody getting the day off work, etc. for those heroic passengers that averted more needless deaths by giving up their own.

Huzzah! Let's roll!

Bush tried that and called it Patriots Day. I guess Congress never acted on it to make it a federal holiday. Of course Bush and his staff neglected to find out that Massachusetts already has a Patriot's Day since 1894 (it commemorates the battles at Lexington Green and the Concord Bridge. It is also the day the Boston Marathon is run)
