Taking bets right now that he wins the Oscar (posthumously) next year. Here's the evidence. He's an average actor who was, at best, a supporting actor in any movie that was ever any good. He died from an OD which immediately makes his life tragic. A self inflicted tragedy for an average actor immediately makes him the front runner.

Okay, I'll take the bet...what do you have in mind?

He was good, I guess, in Capote...and already got his Oscar in that. So, there won't be the "Oh, he never got one" sympathy part of it.

"Boyhood" is going to win everything this year...not that I really pay attention to that stuff, but that movie seems kind of cool and groundbreaking.

Okay...sounds good. One stipulation...you don't have to agree with something the other person says about yourself.

Just a great concept....but what I meant by I'm not into that sort of thing is that I generally don't pay any attention to the awards. This movie sounds good. I very rarely go out to the movies, but I might for this one...I think I've been to two in the last 5 years...The Lego Movie with grandkids, and I can't recall the other one...lol

But I think this one is going to be really good.

I like the concept of how it allows the children to grow up around the technology as it changes, in real time, and to have that stuff change with the movie.

Rainmaker'd lay odds that sandsjames will be proven right. The freaks in Hollyweird never pass up a chance to celebrate dysfunctional behavior.

I'm taking this bet and hoping I lose. Rusty Jones is going to go crazy when everyone keeps agreeing with sandsjames all week long.

the url says 2014 but the site is set for 15. Looks like James Gandolfini actually beats PSH out in the predictions.

Yup. Which is why i do feel they will push to get him honored for his 'tragic death' Rather than his actually great acting.

We adopted a 3 year old in JAN. The only movie I have seen in a theater all year has been Frozen ... I have now seen it 867 times on video.
