Anyone have big plans? Nothing big in the Cross House. Dinner with the extended family tomorrow. Probably some video game time for the kiddos. They are big into Disney Infinity. We have spent a small fortune on characters for that and Skylander.s

Same old, same old. I might take a bike ride around San Diego Bay which comes out to about 22 miles. Of course, the weather will have to be good but since its supposed to be around 75 tomorrow and 73 on Sunday, it looks doable.

God help me after the first read through your post I was going to ask if you were in the PI circa the 70's my bad.

My weekend has been hijacked by the wife I have no idea what is going on or where. I just know it's a bad idea to admit you have no ideas of your own :)

Make motorcycle sounds in the garage. VROOM VROOM. Then, go shovel the snow. Ugh!

We got about 6 inches today too. Looking at your location it was a couple hours before you got it. I am SO over winter.

Thanks this is number 10 and hopefully my last one. After I get back I will have 2 1/2 years left. If the taskings don't ease - and they should - I plan to go to korea for a year, this will get me to 7 months afterwords in the states to make the transition.

But my body and my mind are telling me this is the last one for me.

I am no stranger to snow. I just don't have hobbies geared towards snow. If I had some snowmobiles....

That's a pretty good chunk of your career in the AOR. What AFSC are you anyway?

Let's see, the wife is out shoveling, the kids are, well who knows where they are but I don't hear any screams so they must be getting along. So that leaves spending money in my neck of the woods. This transition period is getting way too expensive. :onthego:

A snowplow went by an hour ago and buried my jeep up to the doors in rained on and refrozen snow. That crap is like concrete, I guess I'll take care of it tomorrow.

Weather's sunny and in the mid-60s here in Clearwater. Last night went and watched the sun set on the Gulf from an open-deck bar on the eighth floor of a hotel on Clearwater Beach and then grabbed some pizza. Today we went to the Dunedin Arts and Crafts fair and had some beers at the Dunedin Brewery. Tomorrow we're thinking of catching an old '70s blues band -- Savoy Brown -- in a free concert at Coachman Park.

Retired life at the beach rocks.

Fuck, nobody told me this was a three day weekend. I thought I was going to get some things done with CONUS today.

Savoy Brown? I haven't heard that name in ages. Seems like they were an opening act for some big-name concerts in the Louisville area late 70s-early 80s.

My brother and I wore out their album, "A Step Further," back in the 70's. Three of the original members left to form Foghat.

We wound up not going to see them yesterday.
