View Full Version : General Interferes with IG Investigation

Seems like the IG is pretty toothless nowadays if they can't even stop or punish this sort of thing. I've no doubt it did happen as Young has no reason to lie. Now it seems everyone might be afraid to talk.

Not a good thing,

Sounds the Gen got himself in a bit of hot water. Perhaps he should've stayed in HIS lane.

Good piece of information.

Much like writing to or speaking with your congressman...communication with the Inspector General is protected communication. As a supervisor, First Sgt, Commander, whatever you are...you may in no way prevent a military member from speaking with the IG or their congressperson.

the sad thing is, nothing will happen. Generals are allowed to ENFORCE the standard but arent HELD to the standard, dont they teach that in the new basic training transition course now? He will retire and enjoy his 2 star penison, at the expense of millions of dollars to the taxpayer, some punishment.

Well, a flag officer abuses authority and Afghans are corrupt. This seems familiar...

What is it with these guys when they get up above a certain level that makes them think they're above the rules? Also, if you have nothing to hide then you should have nothing to fear from your personnel talking to the IG. no need to mange it or the message if nothing wrong is going on,
