I posted the link to the site but it went to moderation. So I reposted it without the link. But look it up on Al Arabiya. Unless you can understand arabic, make sure you click on the english link above

I have heard this last week as well. The weird thing about it though was that it was on an Arab news site Al Arabiya. I get most of my news of the Middle East region from here and Al Jazeera. But yeah you won't find this on the regular news sites. It's like they are trying to cover it up and portray muslims in a good light. What's weird is that alot of people are starting to call MSNBC and CNN on issues like this. Because it is obvious that they are trying to cover it up or minimize it. They would rather talk about Jodi Arias or the basketball player that came out.

Nope can't be possible. Only Christians persecute people.

Hmm who are Christians persecuting now?

All religions engage in persecution... its simply a matter of how much firepower is available.

We seem to be persecuting quite a few countries at the moment.

Well isn't that the logical conclusion of any of these Abrahamic religions?

Me personally? If I was convinced that the entire world was going to be taken over by Satan, and the entire human race doomed to eternal fire and damnation - I know I would do my damndest to stop that from happening... even restorting to violence.

Religion is a very powerful - and dangerous - thing.

I think you better reread some sections of several religious doctrines if this is what you think we believe is going to happen.

Revelations. Have you read it?

Revelations. Have you read it?I have indeed read it. The world will not be taken over by Satan. He will try, but will fail. And the "entire human race" will not be damned, only those who do not ask, or are not given, forgiveness.

I seriously doubt that you'd want to break out the scorecards between Christianity and Islam, and the damage that they've done on a world-wide scale. Christianity pre-dates Islam by 600 years, so if we were to cut off the first 600 years of Christianity start keeping score when Islam was founded - just to be fair - it's still not going to look good for Christians. Not by a long shot.

Another thing: Not all Palestinians are Muslim; there's a nice chunk of them that are Christian.

Why isn't there any conservative outrage on the oppression of Christians in Isreal?

Oh, wait. The religious right cares about the persecution of Christians, only as long as the oppressors aren't Jewish. Afterall, they could do no wrong. If a strange Jewish man punched Pat Robertson's wife in the face, he'd probably yell at his wife and ask her what she did to piss him off.

You must have read a different book than me.

You can add that to the list of Biblical self-contradictions.

Most likely. If you read Revelations and he read Revelation that must be where the mixup is...

Its odd I know... its especially interesting to see them get all confused when I ask them why we only pay attention to one commandment (against homosexuality) in Leviticus.

Well, while we are far from getting to the level of oppressing our own christians here in the US we are going that route ourselves..
